Recently, The Greatest Showman, was released into theaters on December 8, 2017. This authentic musical was inspired by the imagination of P.T. Barnum. Not only does it honor the creation of show business, but tells the story of a man who goes from having nothing to starting one of the most diverse, worldwide circus acts. This movie includes some of the top actors, such as X-men star Hugh Jackman, High School Musical love, Zac Efron, and the disney channel dancer, Zendaya. Junior, Tiffany Weld, says that her favorite part of the movie was “watching Zac Efron and Zendaya sing together.”

The movie director, Michael Gracey, did an amazing job organizing such a jaw-dropping, eye-opening movie to entertain people from all ages. When producing a movie, one of the most obvious and alluring factors is the actual quality of the film. Let me be completely honest and tell you that this was one of the most high quality, real looking films that I have ever seen.

Gracey’s story adapted from the story of the PT Barnum circus revolves around a group of unique misfits who were outcasted from society due to their insecurities about not fitting in with their “normal” peers. P.T Barnum decided that these unique, talented individuals would be perfect in order to create a performance that would keep audiences on the edge of their seats. Personally, I think that this sends an overall positive message to the viewers about self love. It shows that even people with the most obscure, abnormal features will be loved by millions around the world.

Not only did the movie have amazing quality, but the movie had some of the most catchy songs that would replay in your head days later. Freshman, Sammy Van Dixhorn, says that he “loved the music because it wasn’t boring, but made [him] want to get up and dance.” This movie was definitely a movie that was made to be watched in theaters with a crowd of people. I would highly recommend everyone to grab some snacks, buy your tickets, and head to the theater to sit back, relax, and enjoy The Greatest Showman.
