To all the girls in the extremely mini high-waisted shorts with your bum hanging out and bra length crop tops, ask yourself this question: would you wear that outfit to your grandma’s house?
If not, then why wear it to school?
Not only is it wildly inappropriate for someone your age to wear, it shows lack of respect for yourself. Yes, wearing certain things is a fashion statement, but what about the impression you give off to other people based on what they see you wearing?
Everyone likes to believe that they don’t care about what other people think, but in all honesty they do. No one wants to be seen as an object. I believe everyone can wear clothes that make them feel good about themselves.
And since when did wearing revealing clothing in public make girls feel attractive? You can look just as stunning in a white tank and blue jeans, if not better. Remember, having confidence is sexy; you don’t have to dress like it to be it.
Don’t get me wrong, crop tops and high waisted shorts can be very cute, but no one wants to see other girls’ entire torso or butt cheeks hanging out at school.
In other words, don’t be too revealing.
Guys don’t like when girls wear oversized and undersized clothes, so if you’re trying to impress boys, try something that fits and compliments your figure! If you’re only wearing these outfits to make other guys find you attractive or draw attention to yourself, remember that what you wear should be what you want to wear, not based off of what someone else might like.
There are a lot of other ways to look stylish without degrading your image. You can look good while keeping it classy. So before you walk out that door in the morning, stop, take a look at yourself, and ask, “What am I wearing?”
