Looking for a romantic sushi spot for your next date? Full Moon Sushi in San Clemente has it all: atmosphere, ambience, and most importantly, excellent sushi.
Full Moon is located off Camino De Los Mares near Fratello’s and the old Krikorian Theatre. But don’t be fooled by the unassuming location, as it’s no indication of its quality. “Full Moon is hands down the best sushi spot in San Clemente,” senior Lucas Purzycki said. “It’s perfect for all my dates.”
The Full Moon staff always greet customers as they walk in the door and serve the tables with a smile and a conversation. Because this spot is so popular, if there is a wait, customers can add their name to a list by the door and the staff will call out the name when tables become available.
The menu has a wide variety of options that are perfect for any dinner on a budget. Besides sushi, Full Moon also offers chicken teriyaki, tempura, udon, and many other delicious options to satisfy any craving. To order, the customer fills out a card with what they would like in their sushi and then can relax and practice using chopsticks to avoid looking bad in front of a date.
“My favorite is the shrimp tempura roll,” senior Lucca Mattiuzzi said. “It’s so good no matter how many times I order it.”
For a date, the staff recommends starting off with an order of pan-fried gyoza or edamame to share. Ordering a few different rolls or trying a combination platter is a good way to keep the conversation going and get to know the menu. Finally, finishing off with an order of mochi is a must.
With Valentine’s Day coming up, Full Moon Sushi is the perfect option for fresh sushi and a romantic atmosphere. Visit the establishment at 647 Camino De Los Mares, San Clemente, CA 92673.
