As the summer comes to a close and the cool autumn breeze sets in, get excited for a fantastic array of concerts spanning various genres. Whether you’re into rock, pop, hip-hop, or indie, there’s something special for everyone. Here are some of the can’t-miss concerts that you’ll want to mark in your calendar.

For roughly $50 and a drive to Los Angeles on September 20th, you can go see Sarah Kinsley, known for her work in the indie pop genre. Her music often features a blend of dreamy, ethereal sounds with introspective and emotional lyrics. She combines elements of indie pop with some influences from alternative and electronic music, creating a distinctive sound that’s both atmospheric and catchy. If you like Mitski, Phoebe Bridgers, or even Faye Webster you are sure to enjoy this show.

If you’re not as into the pop scene, consider catching Illuminati Hotties, who delivers a dynamic blend of punk, rock, and indie pop. Known for their energetic performances, catchy hooks, and witty, often self-deprecating lyrics, they bring a playful and irreverent approach to their music. They’ll be performing at the Casbah in San Diego on September 26th, with tickets starting at just under $30. It’s a great chance to experience a high-energy show that combines sharp songwriting with vibrant instrumentation.

If you’re a fan of rock with a touch of indie and are into bands like Arctic Monkeys and Jeff Buckley, Dogpark is a show you won’t want to miss. Their lead singer’s strikingly similar vocal style to Jeff Buckley adds a unique depth to their performance. Catch them live on September 26th at the Soda Bar in San Diego, and the following night, September 27th, at the Peppermint Club in Los Angeles. Tickets are priced starting at $25, making it an affordable opportunity to experience their electrifying live energy or as SCHS junior Mason Steinorth would say, “an amazing time with lots of dancing.” Both venues promise an intimate setting, enhancing the concert experience. Make sure to grab your tickets early and get ready for a memorable night of rock!

Make sure not to miss The Moss’s upcoming concert, where you’ll experience their unique blend of indie rock and dreamy, melodic tunes. Their raw, passionate performances with engaging stage presence promise an electrifying atmosphere. With tickets as low as $25, it’ll be a really fun night for an inexpensive cost.

Lastly, a concert that I have tickets for, Clairo. She is an amazing artist known for hit songs like “Bags” and her new song “Juna.” With her distinctive blend of indie pop and lo-fi sounds, Clairo has quickly become a trailblazer in the music industry, earning widespread acclaim for her introspective lyrics and innovative production. Her live performances are known for their intimate and electrifying energy, promising a chance to experience firsthand the magic of her life. Her upcoming concert will take place in San Diego with a little above $100 tickets.

The concerts cover various music styles and genres, offering something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you plan to attend one or multiple shows, each event is bound to provide a memorable experience. Be sure to secure your tickets soon as these popular events are likely to sell out fast!
