With beautiful beaches and gorgeous sunsets all year round, San Clemente has established itself as a classic southern California beach town. With amazing sunsets every night, it is a must to find a comfortable space to watch the sky turn from blue to pink, orange, red, and even sometimes purple as each day comes to a close.
Just up from T-street, at the top of the street leading down to The Hole, is a secret spot not included on any maps. This area of land just off of the road is a spacious and open, yet private area for you and your loved ones to watch the colors paint the sky. This cliff overlooks everything from Cottons Point to Dana Point, filling your entire view with the ocean. During the wintertime, when San Clemente gets their best sunsets, it is difficult to find The Bluffs completely deserted, always filled with people admiring the ocean at all times of the day. Many locals find the bluffs to be a favorite among the dogs as well. Junior Margot Lee recounted how much she and her dog, “love walking to watch the sunset at The Bluffs, ” and how she always finds “someone [she] know[s]” when she visits.
The San Clemente Bluffs are spacious, clean, and, of course, have the best view of the ocean. There are many places to enjoy the sunset in our quintessential beach town; however, out of all the incredible lookouts, The Bluffs is the largest space with the easiest access and a gorgeous view, making it the best sunset spot in all of San Clemente.
