As the last show to the end of an irrefutable accomplished career, Quentin Tarantino is expected to deliver his next and potentially final project with the originality of his 1994 success Pulp Fiction and entertainment of his latest film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Quentin Tarantino is a renowned presence in the film industry: a name acknowledged by a widespread sense of honor and admiration by those with an appreciation for cinema. Since the Sundance Film Festival in January 1992, where he gained recognition for his movie Reservoir Dogs, Tarantino has been one of the most influential directors of modern filmmaking. A feat especially impressive considering that he has only released ten movies to acquire such a title.

This amount was not unintentional. Quentin Tarantino has made statements numerous times saying that his idea is to only ever direct and create ten movies throughout the duration of his career. His perspective is that with the utmost effort at high quality with each one, his legacy will be preserved, whereas he believes that a director reaches his limit of creativity after ten.

And ten he has indeed produced. However, Tarantino seems to be counting the two Kill Bills as one. With this, his career is proved unfinished and due to a recent statement made, it is revealed that this final work will be in the form of a play.

Like many other high school boys, junior Cesar Meijia claims that he is “not a musical fan,” but despite this, he is “still excited” given that high stakes are being put on the line for Tarantino. Individuals worldwide stir in nervous anticipation for if the famous director will be able to deliver to the expectations of his crowd with such an unexpected experiment.

Even more importantly, the question of whether Quentin Tarantino succeeds in the perfect finish to his reputation for flawless production of consecutive cinematic masterpieces is up in the air. Another junior, MJ Shalvoy, says that there is “a lot of pressure” on Tarantino, especially with the judgmental height of which “harsh critics” will be approaching his work with.

Yet, Quentin Tarantino emphasizes the prioritization of his role as a father for his five-year-old son and two-year-old daughter rather than the pursuit of further dedication to the film industry. Once the play is adapted and produced, it seems that the creative legend will be out of the movie business for good, despite the ratings it undergoes.
