Hi! My name is Zoë Day, and I am a senior at SCHS. This is my first year writing for the Triton Times. I have always been passionate about writing and language, and I am so excited for this opportunity to contribute my efforts to keep our community informed and aware of the various current events and diverse elements that make up our society. Living abroad sparked my interest in global perspectives, which I hope to highlight in my writing. I chose to join Newspaper to challenge myself as a writer by exploring new subject areas and learning more about journalism as a style. As news editor, I am looking forward to keeping the student body updated on important current events and exploring news within and extending beyond our local community.
I love spending time with my friends from Best Buddies, exploring photography, and practicing yoga. As an IB Diploma candidate, I hope to survive this year and get accepted to a university where I will pursue a degree in international relations and English. Although I have no idea which career I’ll end up pursuing, I am confident that writing will continue to be a key element of my personal expression.
