With the nickname, Spanish Village by the Sea, its no surprise that San Clemente would be home to countless beaches and lookout spots all including breathtaking views of the ocean. However, which spot is the place to be when the sun goes down and you want the best seat in the house? The choice can be difficult, but ultimately, one overlook reigns supreme: The Bluffs. Known as “The Bluffs” by the locals, this secluded cliff just above t-street is the perfect place to watch the sunset on any given day (well, maybe unless its raining).
High school senior and San Clemente newcomer, Kelli Beach loves the intimacy of this overlook, “I’ve been here for about a year and I’ve never been to The Bluffs because I could never find it, but once I did I knew it would become my favorite lookout spot in the entire city.”
Although it can be a difficult spot to find if you don’t know what you’re looking for, The Bluffs is the perfect place to picnic with your friends and family as you watch the sun set into the western horizon. Junior, Brianna Blashill, agrees exclaiming, “It’s one of the best spots for cute picnics and Instagram pictures.”
