For some of the yummiest breakfast and lunch items in town, cruise over to SC Café on El Camino Real.

With breakfast served all day, order double-stack pancakes at 1 pm if that’s what your taste buds desire. The menu features everything from burritos filled with french fries  (“Travis’s burrito”) to healthier options like the Vegi Mix Omelette.

SC Café offers a mix between American and Mexican food, offering the “Gringo Burritos,” “Huevos Rancheros,” and everything in between.

The server in the photo is Josh Edwards, eighteen year-old surfer you can see longboarding at Sano. He describes working at SC Café remarking, “There’s no place in town that captures the essence of San Clemente better!”

The café atmosphere with friendly and attentive servers makes for a laid back lunch for under ten dollars. You have the option to sit outside or inside, where paintings and posters of beach scenes cover the walls. As shown in the photo above, the waiters will even sit right by your side while you order if that makes you feel more comfortable.

Junior Sterling Tudor often stops by with her family to fill her stomach with the best breakfast in town before a long day of surfing. She claims, “Nothing beats the waffles at SC Café. Once I start craving them, I’m down there within the hour!”

Take Tudor’s judgement and head over between 7 am and 2 pm any day of the week!IMG_2032
