Active Culture has been selected as San Clemente’s favorite frozen yogurt shop because of its well-decorated environment and delightful variety of flavors and toppings. They provide vegan options and 100% biodegradable utensils. This local shop is widely known among friends and family enjoying a day at the beach, ice cream enthusiasts, and environmental activists who also enjoy a tasteful cup of frozen bliss.
It is a completely self-served place, giving customers the choice to decide the amount of ingredients they want to add to create the perfect ratio combination of flavors. From simple, sweet, and classic vanilla, to variations of chocolates like “Vegan Chocolate Fudge,” followed up by seasonal tastes such as the “Welcome Great Pumpkin,” and closing off the list with the most outrageous and eye-catching flavors imaginable, such as “Peanut Butter” and “Cheesecake.” All these flavors are a must-try!
The toppings range from chocolate chips, chocolate kisses, and chocolate syrup; coconut flakes, strawberry pieces, and round cherries; to crushed Oreos, peanuts, M&Ms, and gummy snakes. Customers can freely pour what they desire on top of their frozen yogurt and enjoy a sweet treat!
Described as “a touch of heaven for only six dollars” by sophomore Hannah Aguilar, who visits the store every weekend with all her friends, she “overtops her cup with chocolate chips and Nutella syrup,” as much as possible.
“It is such a pretty place,” exclaimed Hannah, who enjoys sitting there to talk to her friends and watch people pass by.
When the sun starts to go down, the white walls and wooden floors in the exterior of the store light up with the yellow fairy lights, setting the mood for visitors to comfortably sit down and enjoy the orange skies that the San Clemente sunsets offer.
Active Culture is the place to visit when you want to sit and relax, or catch up with friends. Sometimes, you might just simply want that sweet treat you deserve!
So, don’t hesitate and come visit from 8 A.M. to 8 P.M. any day of the week, right where El Camino Real meets Avenida Del Mar.
