Calling all chocolate lovers: Hershey’s has partnered with Krispy Kreme to create the “chocolatiest creations ever.” Who doesn’t love a fresh, hot doughnut from Krispy Kreme? For a limited time, you can indulge in their new collection of doughnuts– filled, sprinkled, and glazed. They have four different flavors in their assortment that cater to all tastes:
HERSHEY’S Galaxy Brownie: A doughnut filled with Hershey’s Dark Fudge Kreme dipped in Hershey’s chocolate icing and topped with crunchy brownie pieces and sprinkles.
HERSHEY’S Black & White Chocolate Chip Dream: An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in white icing and drizzled with Hershey’s chocolate icing and chocolate chips.
HERSHEY’S Chocolate Cake Overload: Hershey’s fudge cake doughnut dipped in Hershey’s chocolate icing and topped with a Hershey’s dark chocolate fudge buttercream.
HERSHEY’S Chocolate Iced: A glazed doughnut dipped in Hershey’s milk chocolate icing and drizzled in chocolate.
Junior Isaiah Johnson tried the Hershey’s Galaxy Brownie Doughnut, and commented that, “it was one of the best-filled doughnuts that I’ve ever had. Even though it wasn’t fresh from Krispy Kreme (it was from Ralph’s rack), the filling was still fresh and delicious.” The Hershey flavor comes in strong through these doughnuts– enough to distract from the fact they have been sitting on a grocery store rack for a little.
“Personally, I think that the Hershey’s Chocolate Iced doughnut that I had was mid. It was a little stale since it was from Ralph’s rack, and it just tasted like a regular chocolate doughnut,” said junior Liam Carroll. Since Liam is not a Krispy Kreme enthusiast, he gives a realistic take on whether or not it was worth paying 15.69 for six doughnuts.
If you love Hershey’s and doughnuts, this may be a hit or a miss for you, depending on where you get them. Krispy Kreme is known universally for its “hot-off-the-line, melt-in-your-mouth experience.” Doughnuts that are fresh from Krispy Kreme will always be better than those at the grocery store. But sometimes no one wants to make the far drive. Either way, you can pick up this chocomania collection before the limited time ends.
