This week has been a whirlwind of festivities, beginning with the Area Build on Monday, the Top 15 assembly on Tuesday, and the fun dress-up days everywhere in between. Students are making last-minute preparations for costumes, dates, dresses, and plans. As we speak, San Clemente is at the peak of the budding anticipation and excitement for our major Homecoming traditions, especially with ASB’s recent announcement of the long-awaited decision for the Top 5 Homecoming court.
Out of the 32 amazing candidates in the Top 15, the court is comprised of the following people: Mia Candolo, Stella Snyder, Lizzy Cook, Emry Insley, Hannah Johnston, Finn Thomas, Lincoln Stone, Jack Ramos, Colin Kohl, and Blake Hogan.
Finn Thomas, ASB photographer and Varsity swimmer, is amongst the esteemed court. After performing an amazing dance to Charli XCX’s “Apple” with fellow candidate Emma Barbernell, audiences were captivated by Thomas’ contagious spirit, which he is excited to bring to the Homecoming Court. “I’m really happy to have come this far and I am so grateful to everyone who voted for me” stated Thomas. “Everyone on the court 100% deserves the crown and I can’t wait to see what happens.”
Stella Snyder, ASB Senior President, is also a member of Top 5. She performed a dance with her boyfriend, Jack Ramos, another member of the court, to “You Can Never Tell” by Chuck Berry. She is very excited to participate in the parade and football game. “I am so excited to be on Top 5 with my boyfriend and friends,” stated Snyder. “I am especially excited about the parade and the opportunity to be more involved in the Homecoming tradition.”
You can see the first look of the Homecoming Court at the Homecoming Parade. Which will take place on Friday, September 20th at three o’clock on Del Mar Street. And the Queen and King will be announced that night at the football game, which is “Triton Throwback” themed.
Voting is open now to all grades on the Five Star app, so make sure to vote for who you want to see as your 2024 Homecoming royalty.
