My name is Alison Shea and I am a senior here at San Clemente High School. This is my second year on the newspaper and my fourth year attending SCHS. I’ve always had an interest in writing and once I discovered this class I decided I would give it a try. This class has enhanced my passion for writing and has made me appreciate the process of writing newspaper articles. Over the summer, I was given the opportunity to intern at Picket Fence Media, home of the San Clemente Times, and I learned a lot about how to compose a news article as well as how to conduct a proper interview. I’m also taking photography class this year since photos often times go hand in hand with writing in general as well as journalism and editorial writing. This year, I am looking forward to finalizing what I would like to study in college as I gain more experience with writing and exploring different writing mediums.
I am looking forward to a great senior year as a contributor and editor of the TritonTimes.
