Dear Winter,
Fighting with my mom is like a daily thing now. She says I’m disrespectful and I’m tired of her guilt tripping me. What should I do?
Dear Done,
Well, that’s a tricky one. Moms are known for being overly critical but they do this with the best intentions and love. I know that’s probably not what you want to hear but it’s the truth. My mom does this to me too. There’s a few things to remember here, she could be over-stressed, or she may be going through menopause (menopause is defined as the point in time when menstrual cycles permanently cease causing psychological changes such as mood swings, depression, and difficulty concentrating). But you should remember that you may be a bit out of your element and could be acting disrespectful towards her without purposefully meaning to. We all need to take a break sometimes and do an attitude check to make sure we stay in our place.
I hope this helps 🙂

Hey Winter,
I want to know, why don’t girls date nice guys?
Dear Curious,
There is no straight answer to this question. For some reason, girls in high school seem to go through a phase where they go after bad boys for adventure and a desire to take risks. There is the expression: “Nice guys finish last” but you should know that that’s not always true. (Grossmancapraroplasticsurgery) As girls mature, we realize we value honesty, a sense of humor, and being respected much more. So my advice? Be patient and in the meantime, friendship is better than nothing.
I hope this helps 🙂
Winter
