The smell of coffee and gasoline radiates through the San Clemente Outlets parking lot as hundreds, if not thousands, of car enthusiasts line up in hopes of getting some recognition for their car. Every Saturday morning from nine to eleven, the parking lot fills with every kind of car, from muscles to exotics to supercars, while hundreds of people show up to appreciate these extraordinary machines.

Locals often frequent the show, but occasionally, one or two cars will go out of their way to come to the show from outside of San Clemente; this show is the largest in the U.S. More often than not, you can find the old Mustangs and their owners in one section of the lot, the hype-beast superfast cars, like WRXs and GTIs, in another. The very first aisle of the lot is dedicated to foreigns, and you can always find a large variety of Porsches, Lamborghinis, and Ferraris.

College student and frequent attendee Ryan Raskulinecz, says that San Clemente is “so spoiled to have such a large car show in such a beautiful area.” A fan of supercars, the highlight of this weekend’s show for Ryan was seeing the many McLarens scattered throughout the aisles. “It’s like a game of hide and seek, but the finder is looking for cars.”

Another local attendee, senior Brandy Suarez, frequents the show every weekend. “This is what I look forward to, drinking coffee and looking at cars that I hope to own one day,” said Suarez.

No matter what weekend it is, you’ll find crowds of photographers, vloggers, and car enthusiasts flocking to the show, drawn by the variety of interesting cars and their even more interesting owners. Whether you’re coming to appreciate antique vehicles, learn more about how your car actually works, or catch a glimpse into your own future, this car show has something to offer for everyone. See you Saturday morning!
