As summer approaches, many students and beach-goers have been struggling to obtain their ideal “beach bod” to show off during the long span of summer. A large portion of this population of people have become stuck and are unable to achieve continuous progress towards this goal.
There are three steps you MUST do to undergo this physical change, whether you are trying to lose weight, gain muscle and to become all around healthy. These three steps are eating healthy, doing routine exercises at least five days out of the week, and sleeping.
1.Eating healthy is a large part of losing weight and gaining muscle.
Nutritionists have come to the conclusion that weight loss has 70% to do with eating healthy and 30% to do with exercising regularly. Eating healthy is very simple, the objective is to cut out harmful/chemically-based fats, sugars, carbohydrates, etc. and replacing them with natural sources. This means replacing your store bought, packaged snacks with homemade snacks, vegetables, and fruits. Also it is important to try not to regularly eat fast-food and to, rather, eat a homemade meal consisting of all of your daily nutritional needs. It is also very important to not skip meals and to eat enough to where you are able to function properly, but to eat to the point where you are not hungry anymore, not to the point where you feel bloated and sick.
2.Routine exercises, as stated earlier, are also a large part of weight loss and gaining muscle.
It is extremely important to carry out a strict regime in which you execute cardio exercises, upper body exercises, lower body exercises, and core exercises (usually more than the rest if the goal is “six pack” abs). These workouts can be found anywhere on the internet and all throughout YouTube with the vast array of online trainers for free at your disposal. Routine exercise is vital to gain muscle and burn fat in order to look more lean and athletic.
The most important step is also the easiest. This step is to get at least eight hours of sleep every night in order to let your body recuperate. Without this step the other two will have no effect on your body.
With these three easy steps you can extremely increase your progress to getting the “beach bod” you crave for and deserve.
