Oh YEAH! It’s official: Usher will be the featured halftime performer at the upcoming Super Bowl. In February 2024, Usher will take to the field with his microphone and steal the hearts of tens of millions of people who watch the Super Bowl nationwide.

Usher Raymond IV, known simply as Usher, is a global icon whose career spans three decades. With an arsenal of hits that include chart-toppers like “Yeah!,” “OMG,” and “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love,” Usher has consistently wowed audiences with his smooth vocals, breathtaking dance moves, and captivating stage presence.

“It will be hard to beat Rihanna’s performance from last year,” said senior Samantha Westerfield. “But I think if anyone can, it would be Usher.”

In a recent television interview with CBS Morning, the artist promised “a night of celebration” and revealed that he had kept the exciting news a secret for some time now. Playing on one of the most precious and talked about stages an artist could play on has been a dream of Usher’s for as long as he could remember.

Now comes the task of picking songs, finding a backup dancer, and planning choreography. This will be no arduous task for Usher. He’s got this in the bag. From elaborate choreography to dazzling visuals, Usher is known for pushing the envelope when creating unforgettable live experiences.

Meanwhile, others are less enthused with the recent reveal of the performer who will carry on the tradition. “Honestly, I don’t think I will watch his performance,” said senior Jake Poole. “I’m only there for the football.”

Nevertheless, as we eagerly await the Super Bowl LVI halftime show, it is clear that Usher is gearing up to deliver an unforgettable performance that will go down in history. And while the “winner” of the Super Bowl is up for grabs, I think most of us can agree on who the real winner will be: Usher.
