In efforts to raise money for the people whose lives have been destroyed by the LA fires–radio stations such as 104.3 myfm, REAL 92.3, Alt 98.7FM, Kost 103.5FM, and 102.7 KIIS FM came together to create a festival in which all the profits go to short-term relief efforts and long-term initiatives to prevent further and future fire disasters in Southern California. The two venues that have decided to host this event are the Intuit Dome and the Kia Forum with classic bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers and No Doubt, along with new artists like Billie Eilish and Gracie Abrams. Tickets went on sale January 22nd at 12pm PST and started at 99 dollars for both venues with 100% of the ticket purchases going to FireAid relief efforts: meaning all of the artists and bands are playing completely free. They’re truly just good people who want to help out those who are in less fortunate circumstances. Tickets are only valid for one venue but there will be many screens inside both venues showing the live show from the opposing venue.

With both doors opening at 5pm, the stands will be flooded with people who are not just there to hear the music, but there to show their support for the people who are struggling due to the fires. San Clemente High School junior Avery Santore said she “doesn’t care how expensive the tickets will be” because she wants to “help out either way.” Even if the tickets are up to 300, 400, or even 500 dollars she just wants to support her struggling community.

Mikaela Benumof, a junior at San Clemente High School, stated that she was “so excited to see new and old musicians play together for a good cause.” She is especially interested in seeing what the crowd will be like with the diverse set of artists playing in each venue.

This is a perfect opportunity for a night of fun while simultaneously raising money for those who have lost everything to the LA fires. And even if you are not attending the event, you can donate money to fireaidla.org to show your support!
