Senior Jobs

In this day and age, many high school students manage an after school job while keeping up with their studies. While some students get jobs in order to better their chances of getting into college, most kids either need the cash or simply want some extra spending money. With the new completion of the San Clemente Outlet Mall, more and more students find that working yields many benefits other than just the money. Jobs teach students a sense of time management, which is a vital skill for operating in the real world. Jobs also keep kids busy, allowing them to stay out of trouble. Many believe that balancing both school and a job enhances their intelligence and prepares them for what life will be like once they graduate college. Eventually, we will have to juggle much more than just a job and school, so getting a head start in life is a benefit enough for most.

Many jobs that kids at this school partake in include retail, food, and working the front desk at small businesses. In an effort to learn how students manage to balance school and work, we have interviewed three students willing to share their experience.
