In this past week, Stassi Shroeder, iconic star of seasons one through eight of Bravo TV’s VanderPump Rules, has made her comeback into the realm of reality entertainment. Shroeder was most known for her immense attitude and “Queen-B” energy throughout the show Vanderpump Rules, a reality TV show spinoff from Housewives of Beverly Hills. VanderPump Rules is centered around Lisa Vanderpump, ex housewife from Housewives of Beverly Hills, and the staff at her restaurant, Sur. The show was extremely popular throughout the 2010s, typically for the chaotic staff, who are often entangled in romantic relationships and drama.
Considering Stassi’s stardom throughout the seasons, fans were incredibly disappointed when she made her final appearance from Vanderpump Rules in 2020. Unfortunately, Schroeder did not resign from her position on the show. Bravo TV removed Shroeder after she had been accused of taking action in racist discrimination of another cast member. In the height of the Black Lives Matter Movement, a former castmate, Faith Stowers, from Vanderpump Rules claimed that Shroeder, along with other cast members, had made false claims and called the police to report their former co-star for crimes that had been reported in a Daily Mail article about a black woman wanted for theft. The woman pictured in the article was in fact not their co-star, and led to intense humiliation for Stowers. Immediately after these false accusations gained media attention, Shroeder was quick to apologize, and placed emphasis on the fact she had no racist intentions with her report. However, she was fired from the show and never returned to Vanderpump Rules.

In the years following her removal from the popular show, Shroeder focused on her family while trying to clear her name of any bad claims. With her apologies, she’s stated on podcasts and in interviews that she was blinded by her own privilege, and never realized that her accusations could’ve been so harmful. While she has apologized to Stowers, and has claimed she now knows Stowers had no involvement with any theft, Shroeder stands strong in her claim that she truly believed her former co-star did resemble the women in the Daily Mail article.
It now appears that all this controversy has blown over between Bravo TV and Stassi Shroeder, as Shroeder has just been featured in Lisa Vanderpump’s next spinoff from Vanderpump Rules, the fairly new show VanderPump Villa. VanderPump Villa follows Vanderpump and her staff at a European estate. In this European estate, there are fiery romances, rivalries, and surprises, all with Stassi Shroeder’s watchful eye, as she seems to have a more specific role, working hand in hand with her former boss, Lisa Vanderpump.
Fans were thrilled upon the announcement of Shroeder’s return to reality television, after five years of quiet from the former star. Stassi arguably “carried” seasons 1-8, SCHS student Sophia Cobb said. Cobb also stated, “I started watching the show because I saw Stassi compilations on my for you page on TikTok.” Cobb then remarked how she felt almost bored with Shroeder no longer on the show. Junior Charis Rose, felt especially excited to see Shroeder back on the show, “She’s so confrontational and really seems like she was meant to be starred on reality TV, I feel like this new season of the Villa will be extra exciting.” With all this past conflict from her removal from VanderPump Rules, it appears Bravo TV and Shroeder have left this in the past and are very ready for a new drama-filled series.
