While Coachella is one of the most well known festivals in the world, a lesser known country music festival also takes place at its same location just a few weeks after Coachella. Stagecoach is the largest country music festival in the United States, and it is taking place April 27-29. Some must-see headliners are Zach Bryan, Jelly Roll, and Luke Combs, with other well known guests like Lana Del Rey, Backstreet Boys, and T-Pain. The festival has been going on since 2007.
Like Coachella, Stagecoach requires many attendees to camp out for the duration of the festival. SCHS junior Addi Fleming, who is attending this year’s Stagecoach, has opted to camp out on-site. She pledges that this is a much better option, because “AirBnB prices get so high, it’s just not worth it to pay.”

However, many other guests choose to splurge on a hotel or AirBnB, to avoid the hassle and conditions of camping out at the site of the festival. Another Stagecoach attendee, SCHS Senior Tanner Kaneda, is choosing to attend the festival staying in an AirBnB 15 minutes from the site of the festival. He insists that this is a better choice, because the supplies to camp are almost just as expensive. “To buy a tent and an easy-up just for the festival is just as expensive as just getting a room,” Kaneda rationalized.
Whatever details of how people are attending the festival, the excitement and anticipation for the music are a common similarity. Both SCHS students are very excited to attend the festival, and see some of their favorite country music stars. If you didn’t get a chance to go to Coachella this year, it’s definitely a festival worth looking into.
