You hear from most of your teachers: how well you do today will matter later in life.

Now they have the data to prove it.

There are so many people out there competing for their future life and colleges can not accept everyone who wants to get in. In order to get the best students to attend their college, they are taking the students with the highest grades in high schools. Colleges love high GPAs and this is what matters for them most.

Q: What is GPA ?

GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated by dividing the total amount of grade points earned by the total amount of credit hours attempted. Senior Kris Calhoun, “If you receive an A grade in your three units class, you earn three units multiplied by four points (for the A) which would be 12 points for the course.”

Q: How can I get higher grades?

  • Be organized. It only takes few minutes to get organized, being disorganize waste your time more than it takes to get organized.
  •  Get the best out of your time.
  •  Be focused. Don’t go to your room, spend two hours not doing anything, 15 minutes studying, and not understanding anything. Freshman Ariana Brown commented “I won’t let anything  to distract me when I’m studying , because I know it would waste my time.”
  •  Plan your day. This would be the best tip if you do it right. Planning your days will help you to have time for everything you never have time to do.

Q: How can I plan my day in the best way?
