For all the fried chicken enthusiasts out there who find themselves driving to Chick-Fil-A every chance they get, there’s a new location coming soon. Located at 495 W. Avenida Vista Hermosa, the Chick-Fil-A to be located on the northwest side of the outlets is finally under construction.

What does this mean? Well, the fast food cravers of San Clemente will have a place to get their fried chicken in the near future of around three months.

The new Chick-Fil-A will have a drive-thru for people who are in a hurry, and will also feature an indoor playground for kids and also high schoolers who love to go on the playground after they finish their meals. For the more elegant fast food goers, the restaurant will also have an outdoor patio with a supposed ocean view.

“I am very excited for the new Chick-Fil-A, because now I don’t have to drive to Mission Viejo to get my sacred fried Chicken,” San Clemente High School junior Cameron Culkin said.

The Chick-Fil-A being built in San Clemente will instantly receive many customers due to its location. It is the most south Chick-Fil-A before Camp Pendleton begins, and closest for residents in San Clemente, San Juan, and Dana Point. Many of the people who drive to the Chick-Fil-A in Mission Viejo will now have a much more convenient location to enjoy their fried chicken.

Right now, San Clemente does not have a fast food fried chicken place that people love to go to. In fact, the fast food scene in San Clemente is not very energetic to say the least. There has not been a new addition to the fast food community of San Clemente for a very long time, meaning there is not really a ‘popular’ fast food place that everyone loves to go to. But Chick-Fil-A is destined to change that: this will be the new place that everyone loves.

“I am honestly probably going every day once it opens,” SCHS junior Liv Weilbaecher said. “This goes for most kids at San Clemente High School, because I don’t think there will ever be a time where you do not see a group of highschoolers roaming around the new Chick-Fil-A.”
