Between her tour dates across the globe, Taylor Swift has shown her support for Travis Kelce, a two-time Super Bowl champion and arguably one of the best tight ends in the NFL. On his podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, Travis explained that he was upset Taylor didn’t want his friendship bracelet, which had his phone number on it during her concert in the Arrowhead stadium. Swifties, the dedicated and slightly obsessive fans of Taylor Swift, make friendship bracelets to exchange with other fans at all of her concerts. Travis is no different than any other Swiftie, although he did gain the attention of the one and only Taylor Swift. Senior Kendall Hood explained, “I think Travis is the right man for Taylor and I hope we swifties get a good album soon.”
On the 23rd of September, Taylor Swift was seated in Kelce’s private seating area during his game, right next to Donna Kelce — the mother of Taylor’s potential new man. The Chiefs beat the Bears, with a final score of 41-10. Throughout the game, typically after any play involving Travis, the cameras would switch to witness Taylor’s reactions. Taylor’s presence at Travis’ game has led many people to think they are confirmed dating, but some still are cautious about believing the rumors.
The NFL as an organization felt so honored that Taylor Swift came to a game that they changed their bio on TikTok to “9/24/23. Taylor was here,” commemorating the day. Lots of interview questions directed at all members of the NFL, ranging from Travis’s QB Patrick Mahomes to even coach for the New England Patriots Bill Belichick, have been questioning the relationship between Taylor and Travis. “It’s been funny watching all of these people who only talk about football be questioned about Taylor Swift’s love life,” said senior Zona Miller. Most sports newscasts were dying to learn more about the possible new super couple in pre-game and post-game discussions.
After the game, there were videos leaked of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce walking hand in hand out of the Arrowhead Stadium, the same place where not so long ago Travis watched Taylor perform for her Eras Tour. Soon after they left in a gateway car and enjoyed the rest of their night in private, away from all the cameras.
Swifties continue to go crazy as they realize that Travis Kelce is Taylor’s 13th public boyfriend, so some theorize that they have to be endgame. Taylor has always considered number thirteen to be her lucky number, since she was born on the 13th, turned 13 on Friday the 13th, and her first album went gold in 13 weeks.
