On March 1, 2026, the Actor Awards held its 32nd annual ceremony at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles. The Actor Awards honors actors for their outstanding performances in movies from the previous year and recognizes the contributions actors make to television by awarding them a Statuette. These awards are considered one of the most prestigious honors in the entertainment industry because they are voted on by fellow actors. Lets take a look at some of this year’s top winners of the Actor Awards.
This year, Sinners triumphed at the ceremony, taking home the awards for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for Michael B. Jordan. Fans of Sinners and Michael B. Jordan were proud that the film received the recognition it deserved. SCHS junior Gabriella Grajeda was one of those fans that night, and she claimed that “the win was well deserved since the cast put so much work into their roles, so it was nice to see them recognized for that.” Michael B. Jordan wasn’t the only one who won a prestigious award that night. Harrison Ford also received the 2026 Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award for his contribution to acting throughout his career.

Another major highlight of the night was the big win for Jessie Buckley, who earned the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role as Agnes Shakespeare in Hamnet. Her emotional and powerful performance has been praised throughout the awards season, and, as of March, she has won at least four major accolades for the role and was also nominated for an Academy award. SCHS Junior Paige Richardson said she was proud of Buckley because “her performance was so authentic and [she] could really feel the characters emotions, which is why the award was well deserved.”
One of the most special recognition of the night was for the late Catherine O’Hara, who brought her co-stars to tears when she was announced the winner for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her role as Patty Leigh in The Studio. Her co-star Seth Rogen accepted the award on her behalf and gave a heartfelt speech in her honor.
Another memorable part of the ceremony was the recognition of Sean Penn, who earned an award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for his work in One Battle After Another, adding another important achievement to his long acting career. The iconic Seth Rogen also did not leave the ceremony empty handed, receiving the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for his role in The Studio. This award highlighted his ability to bring humor and personality to the screen.
The night also celebrated a historic moment as Owen Cooper made history by being the youngest actor to ever win an Actor Award. He was honored with the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie for his role in Adolescence. Cooper’s win was important as he proved that even rising stars can make a powerful impact in the entertainment industry.
The 32nd Actor Awards ceremony was a memorable night that celebrated legendary performers and rising stars in the film industry. From major wins by Sinners to outstanding performances, this ceremony highlighted the talent and dedication of actors throughout the industry. Accomplishments by Harrison Ford and Owen Cooper made the night even more meaningful, honoring their dedication and impact in the industry. Overall, the ceremony was a celebration of the hard work, creativity, and impact the actors continue to bring to both film and television.
