The fourth movie in the Spider Man franchise is set to arrive in theaters on July 31, 2026. The movie picks up four years after the last movie Spider Man: No Way Home ended. In the last movie, Spider Man erased every memory anyone has ever had of him. In doing this he lost all of his friends and family outside of the Avengers. However this precaution had to be taken and was justified in his mind because of the safety it provided to his loved ones. Before their memories were erased the people in Peter Parker’s life were constantly being put in danger during every fight that he took part in with the Avengers or on his own. As a result of this Spider Man would not only have to fight off the villains but he would also have to protect his people and keep them out of harm’s way all at the same time which was not safe or easy for anyone involved.
In this new movie we see many of the beloved characters coming back. Tom Holland of course will be starring in the movie as none other than Peter Parker, or Spider Man. Zendaya will be along his side playing his love interest MJ who has been a consistent character in the franchise. Senior Ava Echternach mentioned how “exciting it is to see Tom and Zendaya act together because they are in a real relationship off screen as well,” and I can only imagine that their real love behind the scenes adds to the romantic story line between the characters making the movie just that much better. The trailer showed us that Bruce Banner, the Hulk, another character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will also be making an appearance in this movie which is very exciting news for fans. Ned Leeds, Peter Parker’s best friend played by Jacob Batalon, will also be returning to the screen providing the comedic relief for the movie. Junior Emma Burke shared in an interview that she “cannot wait to see this movie and the fact that all of the staple characters are returning makes it that much more exciting [for her].”
Additionally, many fans are eager to see how the new addition of beloved Stranger Things actress Sadie Sink will enhance or change the story line of the movie. She will be playing the character Jean Grey who is a former ally of Wolverine and a member of X-Men.
I could not agree more about all of the excitement regarding the returning and new characters. The trailer reiterated that this will be a great addition to the Spider Man franchise and will be one of the most highly anticipated movies of summer 2026.
