Life Time Fitness, billed as one of the largest providers of tennis instruction in America, has demolished the 30-year-old Rancho San Clemente Tennis & Fitness Club to create a new Rancho San Clemente Life Time Tennis Club. The renovated club features 13 tennis courts, two swimming pools, a shaded gathering place, an ocean-view restaurant, a spa, and facilities for yoga, pilates, indoor cycling and group fitness.

Lifetime is a luxury athletic brand that champions itself in healthy living, with 143 locations across the U.S. and Canada.

Life Time said in a statement that it plans to “not only return the club to its past excellence, but create a new and elevated experience by revitalizing the tennis programming and providing resort-style amenities that meet the unique needs of the San Clemente community.” Club members are super excited for this grand opening.

“I am so thrilled for the new club, and I will be going to the gym all the time, spending time there after school, and I can’t wait.” Sophomore Grace Manning said.

For people that have already signed up, the grand opening of Lifetime San Clemente will be next Thursday, January 23. According to Life Time’s press release, “the new location will feature resort-like amenities, as well as a broad array of highly personalized programs and services to help its members achieve their wellness goals.”
The club, expected to operate from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week, could also host special events, up to 15 per year, from tournaments to weddings.

Sophomore Victoria Latta, a member of the former club said, “I was sad to see the old club shut down, but I am so excited for the grand opening and will be spending many of my days at Lifetime.”

The grand opening on January 23 will allow guest members to socialize, explore, and use the new club with food and drinks. These members have been waiting two years of renovation since they have been to the old club.
