Once home to the Village Book Store, Beach Town Books took over ownership of the downstairs nook that perfectly fits into the downward slope of Avenida Serra, just off of El Camino Real. Whether you are looking for the newest and greatest romance story, dying to get your hands on a nostalgic novel of your childhood, or simply searching for a school-assigned reading book, Beach Town Books boasts tens of thousands of titles, tucked away throughout the store.
The store itself, although physically small, balances the ambiance of a grand library and your grandmother’s cozy living room; lined with aisles of books and furnished with cushioned chairs just beckoning for you to spend the rest of your day reading in them, the shop is inviting and pulls in your attention.
You’re bound to find at least one book that piques your interest, coupled with reasonable prices and the comfort of shopping local—and second-hand—this bookstore will meet all your book-worm needs.
“When I went into Beach Town Books in search of my assigned reading books for IB Literature this year, the workers were incredibly helpful and eager to aid me in my endeavor,” senior Bethany Padilla said. “Even though the list was somewhat random, they still found all the novels I was looking for and made the process easy and stress-free.
