Whenever I’m craving a refreshing and filling meal, I immediately make my way to Wowpoki. With its vast assortment of fish, rice, and toppings, this is no surprise that Wowpoki was voted best poke bowl amongst the students at San Clemente High. It is the perfect place to grab a quick, affordable lunch with friends. Also, as somebody who has many friends who are vegan and vegetarian, I really appreciate that Wowpoki also provides non-fish options such as tofu and tamago, ensuring that there are options for everybody despite dietary restrictions they may have. To wash down the bowl, Wowpoki also has many delicious beverage options to choose from.
When you enter the Wowpoki, the workers will not let you stay hungry; the efficiency of the employees will ensure that you get your poke bowl in no time at all. Their kindness doesn’t go unnoticed either; at Wowpoki you will be greeted with a friendly face, making the poke experience even more enjoyable. You can get takeout and enjoy your bowl in the comfort of your own home, or you can savor your bowl in the indoor or outdoor seating provided at Wowpoki.
Former SCHS student Kevin Peña states, “I remember I used to eat at Wowpoki every week. It was my go-to and I really miss eating there. Once I come back to SC for the holidays, Wowpoki is no doubt going to be my first stop.” Wowpoki is loved by so many students here, and their poke bowls are truly staple meals in San Clemente.
