The food selection in San Clemente is pretty diverse, leaving us with many delicious options around the town.
Whatever genre of mood for food you are in, it is likely you will find something good close by.
If you are looking for a good Italian restaurant…
Sonny’s Pizza and Pasta is located in the heart of downtown San Clemente on El Camino Real. The restaurant is described as a “Storied family-owned eatery with an old-world flair serving thin-crust pizza & other Italian dishes.”
Some other good ones are Fratellos Italian Kitchen. An employee from Fratellos, senior Ray Hickman, said, “I know I work there so I’m supposed to say this, but seriously it’s the best Italian food in San Clemente.”
Some awesome affordable option is Primos Foods. Senior Olivia Longnecker raves, saying, “Amazing food for an amazing price! I love Primos Foods and I can’t wait to go back and visit this San Clemente gem!”
Another very popular, affordable, and delicious restaurant is Full Moon Sushi, which you will often find packed with San Clemente High School students. Senior Hayden Oldham says she “loves full moon because the workers are always so nice and the food is very yummy.” Senior Kayla Shanafelt says, “Full Moon’s caterpillar roll has my heart! It’s so juicy and yum.”
A more upscale restaurant, which is perfect for celebrating birthdays, or special events is Nick’s and South of Nick’s. The ambiance and service provided are unmatched every time you visit.
Some other great options are Mongkut Thai Restaurant, on Del Mar, Moulin, a beautiful French cafe, and a quick and delicious option is Pedro’s Tacos.
There are so many more amazing restaurants throughout San Clemente, however, these few were notable to myself and many other San Clemente High School students.
