Welcome back, Mr. Harry Styles! On March 6, Styles dropped his long anticipated fourth album Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.. The anticipation for the new album has been stirring since the release of Styles’ single “Aperture” on January 22, but before then, many fans were unsure if he would make a musical comeback since his last album was released four years prior.
Before any hints of new music were given, Styles stepped out of the spotlight after the success of his Love on Tour, which ended in 2023. SCHS senior, Ella Kittler recalled attending the Love on Tour as she followed Styles closely during that era. Kittler explained how “[she] used to listen to his music constantly.” But, “when he stopped releasing music for a while, it felt like a big pause for fans.” Slowly, he became quiet in his career, both acting and musically, but culturally, he was always present. Over the past three years, he has stayed prevalent through the tragic passing of former bandmate and friend Liam Payne, his running career in marathons, and rare sightings in public highlighting his fashion style and new love interests.
The abrupt pause in Styles’ career left many fans in radio silence. But with the release of his new single and album, the last four years don’t matter as Styles and his fans picked up right where they left off.
With Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally., Styles has returned with a noticeably new sound, leaning heavily into a disco and house-inspired production containing upbeat rhythms, bass, and tech sounds that mark a new era in his music. SCHS senior, Sienna Willis shared that she “is in love with Aperture, and [she’s] glad he didn’t repeat the same style of his past albums” proof that going out of your comfort zone pays off.
Harry Styles’ emergence back into the spotlight with his new album, performance at the 2026 Brit Awards, interviews, world tour, and SNL double duty on March 14 has circulated lots of excitement among fans. For fans, this release serves as a reminder of Styles’ creativity and ability to inspire with a new style intended to make people feel good.
