Spring Musical Preview – “The Pirates of Penzance”

From SCHS Theater Teacher and Director Jeannine Marquie:

In a world of blundering pirates, cowardly policemen, and an outlandish Major General, anything goes. The San Clemente High School Steampunk Players will take you on a “meta-theatre” journey during their production of the eccentric Gilbert and Sullivan classic, “The Pirates of Penzance.

” Combining Victorian-age traditionalism and steampunk-style, this topsy-turvy production of “The Pirates of Penzance” turns convention on its head and will leave you laughing and cheering.

Performances -Friday April 18 / Saturday April 19 / Thursday April 24 / Friday April 25 / Saturday April 26 at 6:30pm.

There will be one matinee on Saturday April 19 at 2:00pm – We are billing it as the “children’s matinee” as we are blocking off the first few rows of seats for our diminutive patrons. New this year are two $5 previews on April 16 and 17 at 4:00pm.

Tickets will be on sale to the general public on March 17th so make sure to get your ticket before then to ensure a good seat! (And thank you, in advance, for your patience as we delve into the world of online tickets.
