It’s time to buy your cowboy boots because California’s annual country music festival is just two months away! Kicking off Friday, April 24, and ending Sunday, April 26, Stagecoach is returning for its 14th consecutive year. Held at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California ,where popular music festival Coachella is also hosted, it’s an experience you don’t want to miss.

2020 Stagecoach lineup

Last year, a record breaking 80,000 people attended from all around the world to sing and dance to their favorite country artists, including headliners Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, and Jason Aldean. This year, Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, and Eric Church were chosen to headline. Other popular artists such as Brett Young, Morgan Wallen, Dan+Shay, Jon Pardi, Chris Lane, and many more are also ready to put on a show while you dance the night away with friends and family.

“This is my first year going, and I’m so excited,” San Clemente High School junior Emily Schad said. “Everyone says it’s so much fun. I can’t wait to watch Thomas Rhett and some of my other favorite artists with my best friend.”

Luckily for the night owls, Stagecoach allows time to sleep in because the venue does not open until noon and goes through the night until midnight. All ages are welcome, and kids ages 10 and under even get in for free.

The popular rainbow colored “Spectra”

In addition to singing at the top of your lungs, there are also many other fun activities to do during the day. The Honkytonk Dance Hall is a fun, air-conditioned place for beginners or professionals to line dance, two-step, and do the hoedown.

“I love Stagecoach!” SCHS junior Malia McCaig said. I’ve gone the past couple years, and I would totally recommend it to any country lover. My favorite part is going to the Honkeytonk in between singers and learning dances with everyone from our school.”

A ferris wheel, especially popular during sunset time or for marriage proposals, is also available to ride. However, last year the seven story rainbow art exhibit called the “Spectra” proved most popular for pictures and simply taking a break.

In regards to shopping, Nikki Lane’s Stage Stop Marketplace is open to spice your closet up with new vintage clothes and accessories while listening to live music. Plus, if you’re hungry, Guy Fieri’s Smokehouse is making an appearance to enhance the country vibe with your typical BBQ favorites.

Whether you go with friends or family, Stagecoach is a guaranteed good time. You don’t want to miss out on this ultimate experience to listen to your favorite country artists. Check this festival off your bucket-list and buy a ticket now!
