Ever lost your wallet, purse, dog, binder, or something very important? Drowning in aggravation as you struggle in piles of junk, making you late, searching for something you can not find is one of the most frustrating things. In 2021, Apple invented the AirTag, a small tracking device used to find everyday items that hold great value. Connecting to Apple’s Find My app, you can make the AirTag play a sound to help locate your item. For just $29, AirTags can save lives.

Senior Stefani Escobar and AirTag owner described how they “helped [her] so much with locating [her] sacred belongings” such as her AirPods, keys, and wallet. Escobar encouraged “everyone to get at least one AirTag” because they can get you out of really bad situations.

Whether you attach your AirTag to your keys, dog, binder, or purse, AirTags will guarantee you find your lost item. By showing up on Find My, the app allows you to track the device and will even give you directions to the lost device. Then, the sound feature leads you to it and secures the safety of your valuable item, relieving your stress.

As an AirTag owner myself, I highly recommend everyone purchases at least one for your most valued item. At just $29, you can buy safety and calm your nerves. Just over a week ago, I lost my wallet which is attached to my keys. Completely freaking out and drowning in stress, my friend reminded me that we could track and play my AirTag. It led us straight to the dumpster where we knew the task at hand was ginormous. Feeling hopeless as we dug through countless bags of garbage, the AirTag sound slowly got louder and louder, and we knew success was approaching.

After nearly 30 minutes, with the help of my AirTag, we were able to find my car keys and wallet and get home safely. Sophomore Lila Fabio, who helped me find the keys claimed that “without [my] AirTag, [my] valuables would be gone in the trash forever.” With over 4 credit cards, cash tips, my school ID, car keys, and drivers license, I would have had a really bad situation. However, with the help of my AirTag, my wallet and keys were safe and I was relaxed.

So, whether you are worried your dog will run away, constantly misplace your keys, or scared you might get robbed one day, it is extremely important that you protect your valued items with the security of an AirTag. With the cheap price of $29, it is an amazing investment and a lifesaving device that everyone needs. Fabio encouraged all to “never underestimate the power of a little tech to save the day!”
