Raised in Orange County, most of us have grown up surrounded by the “healthy lifestyle” culture. A life consisting of juicing, organic foods, and gluten free options may seem odd to some, but for a majority of us it has developed into what we consider “the norm. Finding a place that includes a vast options of natural, organic, gluten-free, soy-free, dairy free, and non-GMO foods and drinks may seem difficult. But we have the perfect local store to meet Orange County residents’ high standards.
Hanson’s Market is owned and operated by locals, and many residents compare it to a local version of Whole Foods. Along with a welcoming atmosphere, Hanson’s has a clean and organized feel. There are so many options to choose from that it may seem overwhelming at first, but the employees are attentive and ready to help you at any time. You can choose anything from fresh coconut water served in the shell to an organic poke salad. The possibilities are endless.
We asked a local San Clemente resident Sydney Davis (senior) her thoughts on the market. “Hanson’s is by far one of my favorite spots in San Clemente. I love how I can indulge there in a guilt-free way,” she explained. She closed off the interview with some advice, “Make sure to order the organic grilled cheese and Popeye smoothie. It is my absolute favorite!”
Hanson’s is famous for many healthy treats and services, such as their raw juicing, deli, produce, and health and wellness department. Stop by for a quick, light lunch or even get gifts for friends and loved ones. No matter what you need, you can most likely find it here.
The only downside to the market that we could find is the relatively high pricing. Prices may seem higher than Ralph’s or Albertson’s, but keep in mind that the high quality and health benefits are well worth it.
“Anytime I need a quick pick me up I always swing by Hanson’s and grab a fresh ginger shot and organic muffins,” explains Lauren Matthews (senior). She says she has yet to come across a spot that is as healthy and delicious as Hanson’s.
