A local San Diego band has won over the hearts of many young teenagers. Foxtide has remained a small band but has rapidly been growing their following by opening for many amazing bands across the US such as The Backfires, Arcy Drive, and soon to open for The Runarounds. Not only have they grown a following from opening for larger indie-rock bands, but also from playing at festiva

ls such as ShaBang in San Luis Obispo and Love Like Ally– a tribute to mental health awareness in which Joshua Harmon from the Backseat Lovers joined them in performing!
For those wondering who Foxtide is, I have just the answer for you. Although still a small band in the music world, Foxtide has been releasing music since 2019, always managing to surprise their audience with different kinds of music. Their music has transformed from an alternative jazzy tune to almost an indie beach rock vibe– picking up multiple different fans along the way.
Foxtide has been on top of the music game– releasing two albums within the past year and a half while also opening for more than five different bands on tour. For those asking when they’re going to headline a show, like senior Hanalei Marshall who claimed that they were “amazing to see live” during their January 2025 shows in Southern California, the time is finally here! All throughout spring from April 21st to May 30th, Foxtide will be headlining shows all over the country, even hitting Canada. They have even accomplished selling out multiple shows. Their fans hit close to home selling out both the San Diego and LA dates so fast that Foxtide even decided to add both another San Diego and LA date for fans who missed tickets for the first shows.
Their new album Entropy–hinted at by the name of the tour–has already been a great success! Although the whole album has not been released yet, singles such as “Cut and Dry” as well as “Live by the Sun” followed by “Start of Nothing” and “Hand to Hand” have become fan favorites, which can be seen by senior Hannah Lloyd who stated one of “[her] new favorite songs is ‘Hand to Hand.’”
If you’re tired of the same old indie rock music and are looking for a band with some music that is truly stands out from the rest of the industry, Foxtide is the band for you.
