It’s late and your starving. But there’s only one problem: everything is closed!

Not to fret, the Triton Times has compiled the top three best places for you to find a snack at the end of the night. In order to receive this award, businesses were judged based upon their hours of operation, diversity of menu, and overall quality of food.

  1. McDonald’s

Taking the crown, McDonald’s came in at the top of this list, and it’s no surprise. The 24 hour fast food venue provides a variety of options, from a classic burger to a pack of nuggets. Unlike many of its competitors, the chain offers breakfast at all hours of operations, and even has secret menu items. When the ice cream machine is not broken, the McFlurry is the epitome of a late night snack, providing a myriad of flavors to munch on like Oreo and M&M. Other popular menu items include their signature fries, or the cheap and plentiful chicken McNuggets. “You can find me in the back of an Uber at 2AM ordering mass amounts of McChickens on any given Saturday night,” said senior Nate Siebert.

  1. Adolfo’s

Coming in second place was hometown legend, Adolfo’s. Adolfo’s Mexican grill is a 24 hour Mexican establishment located in the heart of San Clemente just off of El Camino Real. The restaurant has garnered a bit of a cult following around town, infamous for the fights and cheap food readily available past midnight. When asked on his opinion of the restaurant, frequent customer and senior Matt Toper noted, “Where else can you get a breakfast burrito at midnight and watch a brawl at the same time?” Popular menu items include the quesadilla, their homemade sour cream, or breakfast burritos.

  1. Denny’s

Finally, coming in third is Denny’s. The sit down diner caters several classical breakfast options, along with shakes and coffee. They are known for their pancakes, hash browns, and bacon. Like the rest of this list, Denny’s is open for 24 hour service. But if you’re going to Denny’s and not one of the other two, you’ve got serious problems.
