With Mother’s Day just around the corner, you might be wondering how to show Mom you care without emptying your wallet. In addition, with finals and AP exams coming up it may slip your mind however, it is most important for everyone to show their love for their mothers. If you’re looking to stay within a budget of $20 to $150, there are tons of options to consider.

“I never know what to get my mom for Mother’s Day,” says SCHS junior Sarah Desrosiers. “Not because I dont care for her but I just dont know how to get her a gift with my minimum wage paycheck every two weeks”

One idea could be customized jewelry which always makes a meaningful gift, and with many options, you can add a personal touch that any Mom would love. You can also treat your Mom to a spa-like experience at home with a thoughtfully curated gift basket filled with pampering items. Include bath salts, scented candles, plush slippers, and her favorite skincare products. You can even add a cozy robe for an extra touch of comfort. It’s the perfect way to help her relax and unwind, after all being a Mom is NOT easy.

You can also give your Mom a subscription box tailored to her interests. Whether she’s a beauty lover, a gourmet chef, a book lover, or a plant enthusiast, there’s a subscription box out there that’s perfect for her. It’s a fun and thoughtful way to remind her how much you care month after month.

And don’t forget to plan a day out. Memories last! Start with breakfast at her favorite spot, then choose an activity she’ll love—like hiking or shopping. Keep it full of surprises, capture moments with photos, and end with a delicious dinner. Make it unforgettable!

Finally, you can’t go wrong with a scrapbook. Grouping family memories together and reflecting on all the fun is almost just as valuable as anything. Adding creative drawings and personalizing the pictures for your mom will make an everlasting present that she can look back on for years to come. “Last year I got my mom a scrapbook of all my family photos,” says SCHS junior Elora Aguliar. “She loved it so much she cried!”
