Marjorie Taylor Greene must be stopped

The racist and conspiracy-driven Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene was re-elected to represent Georgia’s 14th Congressional District.

Shockingly, this took place in the most republican dominated county in America. The 14th District isn’t just the most republican but has the lowest college education rate. Coincidence? I think not.

She was able to take Georgia by storm with her unrealistic and harmful antics. It baffles me how ignorant and crazy people must be to cast a vote for someone who has repeatedly made headlines with her insane reactions and ideals.

Marjorie Taylor Greene has undoubtedly been able to make headlines with her extremist and even anti-semitic beliefs.

Greene has a history of anti-Semitism that has been thoroughly documented. For instance, “she speculated” in 2018 that the Rothschild banking dynasty had used space-based lasers to ignite the wildfires raging through California at the time in a scheme to clear away hundreds of thousands of thousands of acres of land so they could purchase it at a lower price. Crazy right? Even junior Maddie Granite thinks “these messages she is sending out into the world is completely irresponsible and almost doesn’t sound believable.” Greene recently revealed that she had employed Milo Yiannopoulos, a prominent member of the far-right with a lengthy history of anti-Semitism, as an unpaid intern in her congressional office.

On top of that, back in 2020, when President Joe Biden was elected, Greene made public claims on her podcast that the republican party “will not go down without a fight.” One can interpret this message and say she was a pivotal contributor to the January 6th storming of the Capital.

Greene justified this Anti-American attack — relating it to the “attacks” done by the “radical leftist” during the Black Lives Matter movement.

Two completely different concepts — fighting for human rights vs. destroying and trespassing the capitol building, solemnly because they couldn’t maturely handle that their beloved, equally idiotic, Trump lost the election. Or, as Greene and other right-wing people would like to say: “stole the election.”

Greene’s Issues go past politics. She constantly shares her unnecessary, anti-human rights opinions with the public.

Greene has violated and attacked the trans and LGBTQ+ community — attacking politicians like Katlyn Jenner and others in the LGBTQ+ community.

Greene states in an interview, “stop defending this man in a dress,” — referring to Katlyn Jenner.

This, unfortunately, isn’t the first time she has spoken negatively about a nuanced group of people. Someone like a representative should be welcoming regarding human rights, yet she comments on how the LGBTQ+ community will “wipe out” the human race.

Ironically, Greene hates other right-wing politicians who are trans like Katlyn. This proves that Greene goes further than politics and will attack whoever she has a problem with, even if they identify with the same political agenda.

She will always go too far extents to attempt to prove her unreliable points. Not only Katlyn Jenner has had to experience childish behavior from Greene.

Sophomore Emma Barbernell thinks, “she needs some serious help… I would love to see her on a Dr. Phil episode”.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ( A democratic Representative of New York’s 14 congressional districts) had to deal with being yelled at through the mail slot in her office. This sounds like a joke, but many others and I are sad to say that it is far from it.

After Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez engorged Greene’s invitation to a public debate, Greene once again “shockingly” found her office and tried to go in. Once she realized it was locked, she decided to yell at her to “come out and talk to the people” through the mail slot on the door.

Greene has a dangerously harmful presence on social media. She has made numerous claims attacking the LGBTQ+ community — calling them names, and shaming them for being the “end of the human race,” not to mention her antics on how society goes against God’s “perfect creation of men and woman relationships.”

No matter how insane this tone-deaf woman is, she can still cover them with her overused “ protective amendment” of freedom of speech.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is sitting in the courtroom wearing a mask with “TRUMP WON” plastered all over it Rolling Stone.

I will never be able to get behind extremist right-wing politicians like Majorie Taylor Greene.

Her shaming, unfortunately, yet unsurprisingly goes past hating on these groups and defending others who propose unjust ideals.

Greene defended Alex Jones by talking about how the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting was fake and “ we’re paid, actors.” Greene tried to defend this ignorant message on Twitter with a response trying to justify his right to “freedom of speech” via retweet.

“Shockingly,” Greene is a gun owner who is passionate about it. These acts to “protect her right at bare arms” is something that she repeatedly does.

Unfortunately, on capitol hill, during a bare arms protest, Greene decided to find a boy with sight and bring a media team with her to aggressively question his beliefs on the 2nd amendment.

Later, Greene discovered via social media that that boy protesting once had a brother who died due to a school shooting.

Of course, there was no public or private apology; honestly, I wasn’t surprised.

How could someone representing a district be so open when sharing these horrific harmful views? Why is she constantly trying to blame others for the “failure of society” when she is the one committing verbal hate crimes, promoting and encouraging the storming of the Capital, yelling at other Representatives during inappropriate times, and just general extremist unrealistic theories and beliefs.

Why are people like her repeatedly elected to represent a body of people? Her ideas are crazy, yet the uneducated population of the 14th district feels she is worthy of representing them for another term.
